If you would like to help with the development, please take a look at those labels: Add screenshots or copies of error messages, describe what behavior you saw and what you expected. Please provide steps, what operating system you are on, including the version. To report a problem or suggest improvements, use the issue tracker or the user forum. There you can also download the latest releases for all platforms and get help on getting started. It is particularly popular among Arduino and Raspberry Pi users, and is widely used in education and creative tinkering.įor more information on Fritzing and its related activities, visit. Fritzing makes it very easy to communicate about circuits, as well as to turn them into PCB layouts ready for production. It offers a unique real-life "breadboard" view, and a parts library with many commonly used high-level components. Now, it's not as advanced as other softwares for PCB design, but it should be sufficient for your project. The Fritzing application is an Electronic Design Automation software with a low entry barrier, suited for the needs of makers and hobbyists. It has layouts available for most common components, including perfboards. You can draw your schematics, then design your protoboard, and finally the PCB.

Drawing prototype board Hi! I think Fritzing does what you want.It will change your life when designing layouts. Do any of you guys think that this layout could work? I do not know, I just wanted to recommend. But afaik it's originally freeware and you can find it for free and distribute it as well. You can get it here: for a donation of 8 bucks. Does anyone know how they make such beautiful and clean diagrams? (Screenshot from How To Mechatronics' video "DIY Arduino based RC Transmitter") I'd recommend "fritzing".

The layers are also useful as you can use them to organize different types of signals. Standard EDA tools like KiCAD can still be used if you just keep everything on a 0.1" grid and 90° traces. Fritzing is kind of designed around making protoboard/breadboard layouts as opposed to the free-form, multi-layer PCB layouts.
- Pcb or protoboard for a large project? You can absolutely layout the protoboard design with EDA software.
- PLease consider checking my video If you have time you should create a complete schematic for this whole project, not just the steering servo (try for schematics) and post the code you wrote to make the whole project work.
- I made a RC Controlled Car with an arduino and it turned out super nice.
